About

I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Sociology at University of Minnesota.

My research interests include policing, punishment, law and society, and social movements and has appeared in the Law & Social Inquiry (official journal of the American Bar Foundation), the International Journal of Criminology & Sociology, and The Oxford Handbook of Social Movements

I am interested in contemporary US police accountability efforts, especially at the grassroots level. My dissertation examines the role of existing (and potential) insurance models for regulating police behavior and reducing misconduct.

When I'm not working, I enjoy playing drums and guitar, playing basketball, and attending concerts.
